On Sunday the 25th of February 2018 Luke and I was up before sunrise to make our way to the capital city for Professional Beauty London. We had a super early start so little one had a sleep over at Nanna and Grampy’s house the night before. We was on the road by 5:45 am, a nap on the coach being very appealing to us both. I was probably a little more excited than Luke for the event however we both love to visit London and it was so nice to be going together.
Professional Beauty London is the UK’S biggest beauty and spa trade show housing over 800 stands showcasing both brand favourites and exciting newcomers. It provides the perfect opportunity to discover the latest and greatest products, trends and treatments as well as take advantage of the amazing show offers, learn from industry experts with professional seminars and enjoy treatment demonstrations and much much more all under one roof.
I was extremely honoured to be sent over a bloggers pass to the show from the lovely ladies from the LW/PR team and they even provided a pass for Luke, my fiance, so that he could come along with me and I wouldn’t have to travel alone. I went along representing the blog I write for work, however wanted to cover the event on My Little Brushneen Blog also. I haven’t been blogging for very long and so felt extremely lucky to have been given this amazing opportunity, it’s very refreshing that the team support the smaller blogs, like mine as well.
The journey to London went smoothly, we did both manage a nap on the coach and we arrived at around 9:30 am at Victoria Coach Station. Although it was chilly there was beautiful blue skies, very pleasant weather for adventuring through London. From Victoria we made our way to the nearest tube station and via 3 tubes to the Excel London where the show was being held. It was only the last tube trip that resembled the whole tin of sardines scenario, totally (jam packed) luckily it was a short ride and within a few minutes we had arrived.
The Excel London hosts world leading events and exhibitions and are dedicated to achieving fantastic event outcomes, it was our first visit and it’s definitely an impressive venue. After the obligatory selfie and a quick call to check on the little lady we headed inside and found our way to the Professional Beauty show.
First impression of the show… breathtaking! the sheer amount of brands within the location is astonishing and any beauty lover would be like a kid in a candy store when entering, i didn’t know where to start!
We decided to firstly make our way to the press office to introduce ourselves and grab a cuppa. After heading to the wrong place to begin with we decided to actually look at one of the many show maps dotted around and eventually found the right place!
The lovely ladies from the LW/PR team were so welcoming, chatty and helpful and after a nice brew and a interesting demo of the Perfecte’ system, a premium non- surgical aesthetic face and body system from Perfecte’ me we hit the stands to check out the other fabulous brands exhibiting.
There was such a wonderful atmosphere at the show and it was so nice to chat with the talented and very lovely people behind some of the amazing brands and companies. As well as getting to see treatment demos, find out more about the products and browse the vast amount of stands there was of course the opportunity to do a bit of retail therapy.
With the Excel holding more than one event that day as you would expect it was super busy but there was plenty of places to find a bite to eat, we chose a delicious burger from one of the Excels eateries and found a spot just outside the show to drop our bags and sit down and enjoy lunch, I couldn’t wait to get back inside after spotting a few of my favourite brands on the way to grab some food.
In the afternoon we browsed around more of the stalls, watched some treatment demonstrations and met up with Luke’s brother Ryan and Ryan’s lovely girlfriend Tamara who is a very talented blogger, please go and check out The Epileptic Blogger, a fantastic blog!
There was also competitions, free treatments and a variety of seminars from experts within the industry.
Over all it was a truely fantastic experience, even Luke found it enjoyable and we both had such a great time! I came away so excited, motivated and so very pleased that we came along to experience the show, i’ll Definitely want to go along to more and have already said to Luke that next time I want to go to both days!
Thank you so much Professional Beauty and the LW/PR team, it was fabulous!
