Hello and Happy 1st of October to you all! Firstly How exactly are we in October already! September absolutely flew by and now in my opinion we can officially start being openly excited that CHRISTMAS is approaching! Honestly I’d already have the Christmas tree up now if I was allowed!
I’m really looking forward to the next few months. I love Autumn/Winter for so many reasons, the beautiful changing colours of nature’s surroundings, Halloween (little lady is now telling me she wants to dress up as Jessie from Toy Story), warming meals, cosy nights in, bonfire night, Christmas films, chunky knits, the excitement for Christmas building and of course the big day itself! It’s such a wonderful time and with Little lady just being that little but older she’s so much more aware and excited for these special occasions and what we have planned.
Another thing we all enjoy is a lovely Autumnal walk and this week’s photos were taken when we took a trip to the very beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum to browse the gorgeous changing colours of the leaves and spend some time in the great outdoors.
It was a beautiful fresh sunny Autumn day which was very welcomed after a few days of what felt like constant rain. It was great to get out and get some fresh air and as Luke had a week day off we all got to go together.
Little one had so much fun collecting cones, leaves, conkers and acorns along with the odd stone or two for her little treasure box, in fact we came home with quite a number of conkers. We’re going to think of some ways in which we can incorporate them with our Halloween and Christmas Decor. I’ll keep you posted.
