I certainly do love a good face mask! As well as being a great way to relax and unwind it’s also a superbly effective way to give your skin a boost of nourishment and to address any skin concerns you may have, a great edition to your skincare routine. Today’s post is a review of the Procoal London Marine Moisture Mask a Hydrating Charcoal Sheet Mask. Cruelty free, formulated in the UK and containing protective antioxidants it’s a product I was very keen to try.
Facial sheet masks, which originated in South Korea, have become incredibly popular and have taken the beauty and skincare market by storm in recent years. They seem to be everywhere at the moment and I’m not complaining! Simple, convenient and designed to bathe your skin in goodness It’s a skincare trend that I can definitely jump on board with.
I was super excited when I was offered the opportunity to review the Marine Moisture Mask – Hydrating Charcoal Sheet Mask from Procoal London. You may already know if you’ve stopped by my blog before I love discovering new products and as my skin tends to be on the drier side, particularly at this time of year, a mask promising ample hydration was definitely of interest to me.
Procoal London was founded in 2016, their journey starting with Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening and a desire to produce and provide better, high quality products leaving out the cheap and unnecessary ingredients many brands use as fillers and instead sourcing traceable and ethically sourced ingredients. Their story is incredibly interesting and they have continued on to create a range of successful beauty products, one of which is the Marine Moisture Mask.
Each Marine Moisture Mask pack contains 4 single use sheet masks. The packaging has a very professional looking appearance with instructions and important information printed clearly. I love that this product, as mentioned above, is expertly produced within the UK and of course cruelty free.
Each of the sheet masks contains approximately 25 ml of extract rich serum, containing a powerful blend of active ingredients and completely free from the nasties such as parabens, pigments, silicones and mineral oil. You can tell as soon as you open the sachet that there is the equivalent to one 25ml bottle of serum contained within the mask, it is completely drenched which is fantastic! The serum does stay contained within the mask, no drips, despite it being soaked it’s still mess free and convenient to use.
The application was quick and easy, simply unfold, remove the outer layer and position onto face. I actually got my hubby to try out the mask with me and it seemed we both only needed to remove one outer layer rather than 2 which was suggested on the instructions but it’s easily worked out.
The mask adhered really well to the contours of both our faces and stayed in place effortlessly until removed. It’s lightweight, comfortable and pleasant to wear for the 15-20 minutes advised.
Please excuse the next photo….had to be done!
Once placed onto my skin the Marine Moisture Mask had an instant cooling effect and felt incredibly hydrating throughout the whole time It was applied.
When your done the charcoal sheet mask simply peels off with no resistance and left my skin feeling amazing! It’s probably the best my skin has felt in a very long time and I promise that’s no exaggeration. There was plenty of serum left to gently massage into the skin once the mask was removed and it absorbed well leaving my skin feeling fresh, soft and very moisturised.
For me there was a very noticeable improvement with both the appearance and texture of my skin, it felt more toned, balanced, smooth and hydrated and even the next morning I woke with my skin feeling much more moisturised and that’s after just one use! Brilliant!
The Marine Moisture Mask is suitable for all skin types and available from the Procoal London website, I believe it’s currently on offer at £13.99 plus p&p for the pack of 4 and I would highly recommend, especially if like me your skin tends to be on the drier side, this mask really works wonders.
