Bank Holiday Diaries – BlogOn & Berkeley Castle.

Bank Holiday Diaries – BlogOn & Berkeley Castle.

It turned out to be a rather busy bank holiday for us with a trip to Manchester for the BlogOn conference and then a visit to the beautiful Berkeley Castle to see some jousting and spend time with family. I’ve picked out some of my favourite photos to share in this post.

It was my third time attending BlogOn and as always it was amazing. The conference covers a wide range of subjects from creating content to connecting with brands and PR to photography. The sessions I attended were fantastic, I met and spoke with so many lovely bloggers, connected with brands and of course there’s the famous BlogOn goody bags.

It was great to catch up with the very lovely Lucie from Luciemua.co.uk and meet the equally as lovely Sarah from http://www.BeautifullyOriginal.com

There was alot of amazing brands attending including Lush which we was very excited about.

I loved having a chat with the Mardles crew, Freya absolutely loves the Mardles stickers and they kindly gifted one of their story books in the BlogOn goody bags.

These are their interactive colouring books which look amazing!

It was a great day.

Infact we decided to make a weekend of it and so Luke, Freya and my mother in law came along with me. Whilst I was at the conference they explored the city, then Luke picked me up and we enjoyed a meal together at Frankie and Bennies.

Freya definitely enjoyed the fruit skewers and chocolate dip!

Sunday we spent checking out the shops and done a little shopping before heading back to the Cotswolds. Little one got a pay your age birthday bear from Build-a-Bear as it’s her 4th birthday later this month and we built lego people and managed to find Freya the perfect case for our holiday to Disneyland Paris in November! She was so happey with it she insisted on wheeling it around for the rest of the day.

On Monday we met up with family and took a picnic along to Berkeley castle. Although it was a bit chilly luckily the rain held off and we sat on the lawn to watch the jousting displays which were incredible, very entertaining and very funny! We even spotted King Henry the 8th and his wives!

It was a lovely bank holiday spent with friends and family.

If you have read my previous post then you’ll already know that sadly In march, just over 7 weeks ago now I had a miscarriage and it’s been tough. I have been struggling since and to be honest I wasn’t sure if I would be able to pull myself together to attend BlogOn May the 4th. I was so close to cancelling and it wasn’t easy but I am so glad I pushed myself to go. It was great that my family could come along, I don’t think I could have done it on my own.

I want to be honest on here and the truth is it’s hard, i feel like i’ve lost myself a little and i wish i could be stronger for my family. Over the bank holiday i was able to come out of my little bubble but now i feel i’m firmly back in it. I’m so lucky to have so much support from my family and friends but still at times i feel so isolated. It’s all still very raw and i know it will take time.

Thank you so much for reading

Lots of love,

Kayleigh
